After my trip to San Diego, I decided it was time to hit up a professional. My quarantine diet coupled with the vacay drinking left my skin looking dull and sad. Unfabulous. I had already tried the Vampire Facial, Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, dermaplaning, and micro needling. All treatments I love and will recommend depending on your needs and budget. But this time, I was looking for more long term results and was oddly in a position to invest a little more dough. I had heard about the benefits of laser genesis from my friend Katie at Eastside Family Care Center and because I trust her, I decided to go for it.
Oh man! No regerts, ladies! Lol
Laser Genesis works by gently heating the dermis, which is located below the skin’s surface. Katie hovered a wand over my face making me feel like I was back on the beach in direct sunlight. The laser setting stimulates collagen regrowth which reduces the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, pores and redness. It also reduces oil production which combats future acne breakouts and improves overall skin tone and texture.
I was in and out in 30 mins with minimal recovery instructions: no direct sunlight, no makeup, no excessive sweating for a few days.
Noticeable results take about two weeks. Maximum results within a month. But honestly, my friends noticed a difference in my skin within one week of treatment, commenting that I had a radiant glow. For my total treatment plan, Katie recommended I come back for 2 more sessions, a month apart. Treatment plans range from 3-6 sessions, depending on your skin’s needs. I’ll keep you all posted in the upcoming months.
